Watching them get away

As we enter the 2020 recruiting cycle, should the Big3 be worried? The state of Florida just watched another elite prospect in 5-Star RB DeMarkcus Bowman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Lakeland,High School) Commit to the Clemson Tigers today! Hats off to Dabo and the entire Tiger staff on a job well done. However there is a stale taste in the mouths of floridians felt from Tallahassee-to-Miami.

The issue is Bowman was once considered a heavy #Gator lean and had visited many times and even had Florida as his leader at one period in time. However somewhere along the line things changed. What happened that this home grown stud RB all of a sudden changed his mind and wanted to look elsewhere. I mean at the end of the day its always the choice of the prospect to choose where they would want to play their collegiate career at. But when your home state has had every opportunity to get you on their campus and give your a full court press, its a punch in the gut when he leaves you and fly hundreds of miles and call a foreign place home.

Its just May that's the good news however and there is still time. The bad news is I just have a feeling this stud is gone and not coming back, and the last thing we have close to us are the memories we will take from his up incoming senior season in lakeland. Bowman is just one of many that has left the state and he sure wont be the last.

The Big3 has to figure out a way to keep our guys in-state. The aura has been lost and we've been drastically searching for it for awhile. Schools like Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State makes the Big3 job harder to keep prospects in the sunshine state and its become a trend watch the top talent leave.

My final thoughts are these, because I can go on forever talking about how good the schools in Florida use to be and how it's been at least at 6 years since the last National Champion in the state of Florida! (FSU,2013) How could we have fallen so far so quickly, and what are the steps to getting back to dominance?

Coaches have to recruit better and be able to keep our kids here in the state (FL) if not we're in serious trouble when it comes to recruiting with the new Big3 Clemson, Alabama and Georgia!
