2. LB | Jeremy Willoughby | Lakewood High School (2024)

A sure handed tackler at middle linebacker, Jeremy Willoughby as long as healthy is in the conversation as the top linebackers in the county with players such as Adarius Hayes, Zayvion McCluster and Jerek Fields. Where he stands out amongst those is that he is surrounded by a lot of D1,elite talent on defense at Lakewood but still gets his lions share of tackles. At 6’2 210 pounds coaches around the country will begin to take more notice but for now he has two offers under his belt along with the comfort of playing behind a line that contains Top 50 players Taveon Wheeler & Isaiah Nixon. We expect an uptick of 20-30 more tackles due to a deep playoff run by Lakewood but if he doesn’t it’s ok because he is also surrounded by other backers such as Montravius Lloyd and Rashad’s Hartwell that will get their opportunities to eat on this defense

89 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 int

Predicted stats: 100 tackles, 5 sacks

3. LB | Jerek "J5" Fields| 3Star Pinellas Park High School (2023)

A defensive end/linebacker who excels in the speed rush and is great at containing plays Jerek Fields is listed at #35 but we expect over time his ranking to jump due to his experience and motor. Fields does not have eye popping stats but if you know Pinellas Park’s defense then you know he was surrounded by playmakers that of course took their bulk of the tackles but have now graduated and handed the defense over to Fields, Williams and Canterbury. We believe Fields can add an additional 30-40 tackles along with 3-4 sacks to his last years totals and we will have our eye on this guy as the season progresses

51 Tkl, 4 sacks,1 int , 2 FR

4. LB | Zayvion McCluster| 3Star Largo High School (2023)

Class: 2023

Position: OLB.MLB

Height: 6-0

Weight: 192

Hometown: Largo, FL

Analysis: Rated as a 3star inside linebacker by Rivals comes from a great pedigree from the McCluster tree. An instinctive ATH playing the backer position that displays good awareness and range. He has good awareness and ball skills reads and reacts well as plays develop and makes for sure tackles. He's the leader of the packers defense and has all the makings of an All-State prospect. Has several D1 Offers and could add more. McCluster is your prototypical (FL) prospect that will emerge as bonafide D1 prospect.

5. LB | Elijah Mills| Countryside High School (2023)

Elijah Mills is new to the party, a bit under the radar but has big time potential. Mills isn't the biggest or the fastest, but what he lacks in physical ability he makes up for with good fundamentals and hard work. He led the cougars in tackles a year ago with 114 tackles averaging 10.4 pg. A headsy ATH at the linebacker position that is a ball player. He's the guy that gets overlooked but most times outperforms many in his class. Keep an eye on Mr. Mills this season as he looks to build on what is already a stellar career.
