National Signing Day........Surprises?

National signing day is here and today we could see several surprises as a few prospects will be signing with their perspective schools. Here are some of the headlines coming into today signing day!

The Obvious:

Chamberlain Campbell 3 star DL Lakewood Commits to Ole Miss

This was a recruitment that if you paid close attention was an exciting one, Chamberlain "Chambo" Campbell burst on the scene this season as a first-year prospect, racking up 15 tackles for loss while adding 8 sacks. Chamberlain's size and physical ability peaked interest from several schools. Florida State Pitt Auburn Michigan State and Miami (FL) were the school all vying to land Campbell.

Campbell announced via his social media (twitter) that he committed to ole miss, Shoutout to St. Petersburg native and Dixie Hollins Standout and Now RB coach Marquel Black at Ole Miss

The Surprises

Traquan "Megatron" Johnson 3 Star ATH Lakewood ..........?

His recruitment may be the surprise of the day if the rumors are true. He had a great season rushing for over 1k yards while adding, big plays on defense. As of now he's committed to Tennessee Tech University but will that commitment stand this evening. The buzz around campus has been an offer has been made by Coach Prime and the Colorado buffs, if it comes to fruition remains to be seen. Tonight's signing ceremony will tell it all. Johnson is a 3 star ATH according to 247 sports.

Jerek "J5" Fields LB Pinellas Park...........?

Jerek is a monster on the field and was arguably one of the best LBs in the area for the 2023 class. He's a nightmare for opposing offenses and plays the game with tenacity. His recruitment has been a strange one as you would expect a prospect of his caliber to have multiple offers on the table. However right now a few schools are in his back pocket and from a recent post via twitter today that school just may be revealed. We need to keep an eye out as the talent LB will be signing his NLI tonight and whoever he signs with will immediately be a better team.
